To request new network/PC logon accounts, email addresses, and other software application accounts, submit a new ticket request with as many relevant details as you can provide:


  • Full name of the person you are requesting an account for.
  • Start date.
  • End date. (if temp staff, consultant, independent contractor)
  • PennKey user name (see note below).  Skip if not yet known.
  • Supervisor name.
  • Office or desk location and room number.
  • Clarify any PennNet phone needs, such as existing number transfer or create a new extension.
  • Clarify any other specialized software applications, network drive/folder permissions, or other accommodations required.


NOTE ON PENNKEY NAMES:  New full time university staff will be sent an email from the Workday system several days before their start date.  In that email, the new hire will be given instructions to create their new PennKey.


ITS is unable to create most new network, email, and other accounts until the new hire PennKey name is established.
