Using a custom background in Teams

While in a meeting, click the three dots.

Then select Show background effects

In background settings, you can select from the default backgrounds or add your own photo. To add your own photo, click + Add new to upload your photo.

Note:

If you prefer to see your background options privately while not in a meeting, you can select the calendar icon on the left hand pane and then Meet now to start a private meeting with yourself.  There you can toggle through your background options,  just remember to end the meeting when you’re done or your status will remain "in a call".

Using a custom Virtual background in Zoom

While in a meeting, or offline if you have the zoom app installed, click the gear shaped icon to open settings.

In Settings select Virtual Background.

In Virtual Background you can select from the default backgrounds, or add your own photo by clicking the + plus icon.
