Computers recovered during the routine multi-year refresh cycle are either reallocated for a lesser need, like a conference room, or are recycled with an approved off-site electronics recycling company located near Penn's campus.  All data, including data stored on hard drives, is destroyed through the recycling process that complies with various industry and regulatory standards.

If you have old computers, monitors, printers, credit card scanners, document scanners, or other electronic equipment ready for disposal, please submit a ticket requesting our team assist with removal and proper recycling.
