To maintain a secure computing environment and to minimize the threat of malware or data compromise, ITS discourages the use of portable storage media, such as USB flash drives, CD/DVD disks, and portable external hard drives. ITS has also disabled portable storage media for all Division of Finance PC's. With a manager's approval, we can enable and provide a secure USB drive that is encrypted and managed in a way consistent with the university's IT Security Policy.
