• Taskbar at the bottom of the screen :


  • Pin apps for quick access 
  • Search for apps and files in the search bar on the left 
  • Notifications and some system settings can be accessed in the system tray on the right side 
  • Start button on the left side 
    • Pulls up the start menu where you can pin apps for quick access 
    • “All apps” to see all installed apps 
    • Search for apps and files in the search bar

  • System tray at the right side of the taskbar:


  • The internet/sound/battery icon pulls up a window to access some system settings 
    • The speaker icon pulls up sound settings 
      • Speakers and microphone should be set to Realtek Audio 
    • The gear icon pulls up full system settings 
    • The time/date icon pulls up notifications sidebar

 Power options at the lower right corner of the start menu: 
  • Sleep – sign out and puts the computer to sleep to save power 
  • Shut down – turns the computer off 
  • Restart – turns the computer off then back on 
    • We recommend you do this periodically for updates
