Penn offers the flexibility to make or receive calls from your Penn phone number 3 different ways:


  1. Your physical Polycom phone at your Penn workstation
  2. Webex software installed on your Penn-issued computer
  3. Webex app installed on your smartphone or tablet



Staff members can choose either of these options or utilize all three of them simultaneously. Below is a brief summary of the 3 options with links to more detailed information on how to install, and configure these options.




1. Your Polycom phone


 

This is the physical phone located at your Penn workstation. To learn more about using your Polycom phone, please see the following article:





2. Webex software installed on your Penn-issued computer

 


This is the Webex software installed on your computer that can be used to send and receive calls the same as your physical phone. To learn more about using Webex software, please see the following articles:







3. Webex app installed on your smartphone or tablet


 

In addition to the physical phone at your desk and the software installed on your computer, you also have the option to download the Webex software on your smartphone or tablet.

4. Vonage Portal accessed via web browser


The Vonage portal is the centralized portal for your phone system. Here, you can do things like set your voicemail greeting, setup call forwarding/rejection, change your voicemail password.
